PostgreSQL Image Guide

PostgreSQL is developed by the Department of computer science, University of California at Berkeley, POSTGRES, has now been renamed PostgreSQL, version 4.2 based object relational database management system (ORDBMS).

This is the user guide of  the software image powered by Websoft9.

PostgreSQL version: PostgreSQL 9.2.18
PostgreSQL directory: /var/lib/pgsql
PostgreSQL configuration file: /var/lib/pgsql/data/postgresql.conf
PostgreSQL default user/password:postgres/123456

# su – postgres
$ psql
postgres=# \password postgres
postgres=# \q
# exit

Change PostgreSQL password

root@iZbp1i4rjdsy216yq7lgucZ:~# sudo -u postgres psql              #PostgreSQL default user/password:  postgres/123456

could not change directory to “/root”: Permission denied
psql (9.5.6)
Type “help” for help.

postgres=# \password postgres
Enter new password:
Enter it again:
postgres=# \q

phpPgAdmin is a web-based administration tool for PostgreSQL. It is perfect for PostgreSQL DBAs, newbies and hosting services.

1.Select Language,Click “PostgreSQL”;

2.Enter user name and password,Click “Login”.

systemctl start postgresql

systemctl stop postgresql
